about us

What can we say, we're two guys who are totally obsessed with car audio customization. We began working together when we realized we both wanted to put our collective knowledge and experience to use doing something we love. Our goal was to build a business with a reputation for quality craftsmanship, quality products and a friendly atmosphere.

And that's why we opened soundenvisionSM. We want you to feel confident that you're getting the best service in the area, and we want you to feel comfortable hanging out a while if you want. We don't think of it as our shop. We think of it as yours.

Our Team

Tobin's attention to detail goes into every job. You'll usually find him in the installation bay taking care of your car.

Before founding soundenvisionSM, Tobin Winslow was an installation manager for a chain of audio stores in Manhattan, KS. Mentor and store manager Mike Malec showed Tobin the qualities of a good installer and instilled in him the means necessary to create a great clientele.

Tobin worked his way up to a management position and was responsible for shop inventory and keeping daily installs of the vehicles on schedule. At that time, he was a certified MECP Installer and was named one of Mobile Electronics Top 100 Installers of 2002-03. During that year, he also built systems in demo vehicles to represent JL Audio in the USAC Wold Finals.

A positive relationship with the JL Corporation inspired Tobin to continue in the car audio industry, and upon returning to his hometown of Springfield, MO, he continued his education in the car audio market and fine tuned his custom fabrication skills. It wasn't long before he and Luke decided to open soundenvisionSM so they could offer quality services and products unmatched in the area.

Tobin has an Associates Degree in Electronics Technology from Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, MO.

On most days, Luke is out front taking care of customers. He also has over 10 years of car audio craftsmanship and often lends a hand in the bay.

Luke has been self-employed for most of his career. He first worked as a third generation tile installer where he learned how to deliver outstanding customer service by ensuring the customer is completely satisfied with the final product. That career led to a supervisor position in controlling inventory, sales, and customer service at an established corporation, DAL TILE. In 2005, under Luke's supervision, inventory was number one in the region with the highest percentage achieved in the Midwest.

Luke gained the trust of customers and dealers through his work in all areas of business operations. These experiences led Luke to pursue an education in business management and eventually to partner with Tobin in owning and operating soundenvisionSM.
